WATCH: Ratna Omidvar Receives the Dr. Jean Mayer Global Citizenship Award from Tufts University
In March 2019, Senator Ratna Omidvar received the Dr. Jean Mayer Global Citizenship Award from Tufts University. This award honours the work and life of renowned nutritionist and intellectual Jean Mayer, who served as the school’s tenth chancellor. It was established to recognize academics and practitioners who devote themselves to addressing significant global problems.
This ceremony was part of the 34th Annual Norris and Margery Bendetson EPIIC International Symposium, which focused on migration topics. Senator Omidvar was fortunate to spend her time with students from the Tufts community and around the world , and joined the audience for several panels after the awards ceremony.
