On May 18, 2021 Senator Omidvar participated in a panel discussion hosted by Fundmetric and Acadia University. Fellow panelists included Senator Colin Deacon and Professor Amir Pasic, Dean of the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy. They discussed the use of artificial intelligence in the nonprofit sector, why efforts in A.I. development and implementation need to include diverse groups, and the importance of developing ethics guidelines.
